I’m going to give you one of our favorite places to eat in Cabo San Lucas. Let me start by saying that I am an avid and habitual traveler and one of my basic philosophies while traveling is to eat what the locals eat. Eat the food that they’ve been making for hundreds of years. Don’t order a hamburger in Vietnam or a pizza in Columbia. Well, this place is what changed my mind a bit and woke me up to the quality of the culinary scene of Cabo San Lucas. I am talking about InVita Bistro. Invita Bistro

Invita Italian Bistro is located near Wilkes Plaza in the historic part of Cabo San Lucas near many of our favorite places. This authentic Italian place, yes, I said authentic, is one of the gems of Cabo San Lucas. Founded by an Italian and keeping to family recipes this place does it right! While there are few Italian places in Cabo most of them remind me of the “Little Italy” restaurants in the big cities of the states that have Italian areas but this place reminds me more of Italy itself. In fact, I brought one of my longtime friends, who is from Milan Italy and considers himself as “not easily impressed food critic”, and loves the place as much as we do. I have never been disappointed. Fairly priced, great food made with artistry and love. Tip inside the tip … Go on a Friday night and enjoy the Art Walk at Wilkes Plaza. They are located on Calle Miguel Hidalgo at Wilkes Plaza. Phone: +52 624 143 1386. And you can find them on Facebook. Buon appetito!

The Office Restaurant located on Medano Beach, probably one of the most iconic things in San Lucas. It started as a local’s palapa selling homemade tamales and like in the 1970’s. In fact it was the only palapa on the beach at that time. There also would be people trying to rent beach/surf toys. The story is that a transplanted “Gringo” would frequent the palapa daily and he began to refer to it as “The Office”. So when asked, he and his friends would say they were going to “The Office” and I guess the name stuck. The restaurant has most of its tables located in the sand and covered by numerous bright umbrellas. Known for great breakfast and lunch they offer traditional Mexican as well as omelets and breakfast dishes. Huevos rancheros, ceviche (shrimp or fish “cooked” in lime juice), and Baja Tacos (shrimp) are some of the favorites. The office has drinks of all types from breakfast juices, coffee, beer and of course tequila. The Office is alway vibrant, friendly and full of activity. We recommend making reservations as sometimes it can be a long wait. They offer valet service as well. One small tip or trick is to make a breakfast or early lunch reservation, pack up for the beach, use the valet and bring your beach stuff with you into the restaurant. When you are finished eating, simply walk out of the beach and you can get your car later. Enjoy!

Cabo Grill Shop. Very close to our Ventanas unit is a small mom and pop place that we love for breakfast and lunch. Family owned and run; the Cabo grill has a nice outdoor seating area with umbrellas. Their homemade Banana French Toast is amazing! Served with berries, whipped cream and maple syrup. We are also big fans of their Rancheros Eggs and Divorced Eggs. They also blend their own fruit juices which are very refreshing and great for the “day after” if you know what I mean. Jugo Rojo (Red juice) is made with OJ, beet, strawberry, blueberry and ginger. Jugo Verde (Green juice) is made OJ, cactus, spinach, pineapple and ginger. Cabo Grill is always a favorite with us.

Baja Brewery Rooftop @bajabrewery You will find Baja Brewery’s donkey labeled beer all over Cabo. Located on top of the Villas Beach Resort. They have valet, pull in the up a sloping turning circle and there is a small desk with an attendant. Walk past the pool to the elevators ahead. Up top will be able to enjoy many great foods from a pretty extensive American style pub menu. Great wings and pizza to go with that great beer. And the view is even better! The rooftop restaurant overlooks El Arch of Land’s End and the bustling Beach. Reservations are sometimes necessary for large parties or crowded weekend nights when they have live music. https://www.bajabrewingcompany.com/…/cabo-villas-rooftop.

Here, culinary artistry meets the freshest local ingredients from Baja, all infused with a delightful Mediterranean twist. Torote located in the El Tezal nieghborhood just a few minutes from our 3 bedroom property in Ventanas.

The New Funky Olive – Located in the marina near the Puerto Paraiso Mall – Offers some of the best Sushi in Cabo along with a diverse menu featuring burgers, sandwiches and more.   Try the breaded and fried olives.   One of our favorite stops in the marina.

Tucked away, a one minute walk from our Oceans Point property Joe’s Garden is a delightful place with charm and creativity. From the moment you step into its garden-like setting, surrounded by towering greenery and twinkling lights, you feel like you’ve stumbled into our little secret.  From good pizza to very good sushi rolls this place is the perfect stop on the way back or when visiting the center of downtown San Lucas.   Family owned and operated.  Try the homemade pasta bolognese!  It must be Nona’s recipe.  Amazing!

Looking for something amazingly unique? If you’re staying at Baja Toms, Tommy & the crew have already shown you how to do Cabo right. But if you’re looking to turn up the heat—literally—Carbon Cabron in San José del Cabo is your next must-visit. Just a scenic 25-minute drive from your ocean-view condo at Ventanas del Cabo, this fire-kissed culinary hideaway at Km 24.5, Cerro Colorado is where Baja soul meets primal flame.

Chef Poncho Cadena’s open-fire artistry is a perfect match for the Baja Toms traveler: bold, curious, and always chasing flavor. The Chef’s Tasting Menu is like a Baja road trip for your palate—unexpected, unforgettable, and just a little wild. Think charred octopus, ember-roasted sweetbreads, and cocktails that smoke and sparkle like a Cabo sunset.

The vibe? Rustic luxe with a rebellious streak. It’s the kind of place you’d stumble upon after a day of deep-sea fishing or ATVing through the desert—then stay for hours, swapping stories over mezcal and mesquite.

Pro tip from the Baja Toms concierge: Make reservations weeks in advance, book a late seating, then cruise back to our condo under the stars with the windows open and the ocean breeze in your hair. It’s not just dinner—it’s a chapter in your Cabo story.
